What have I done the last couple of months? Well, I had some great assignments. Let's just say I pushed the envelope. The envelope of my technical knowledge and the creative field. I tred into a new territory. Producing images in front of a green screen for a major Dutch public transport company was completely new to me. I always act in the real world with real people, and I think there are lots of treasures to be found in contact between real people and there surroundings, but that's comfortable. Thats what I always do, thats old-school to me. So I had to leave my comfort-zone and start discovering. Is there something to be found in greenish make-belief land? I learned a lot from this.
The next big thing was a grand staged group-shot, which I did for Sprout magazine. The people from Sprout give me the opportunity to pursue my visual dreams. Every issue I can let my imagination run free and make crazy images. This time I decided to reenact the Revolution from Delacroix .
This time I went further than ever. We had 5 big flashlights involved, 1 smoke-machine, 1 little flash and we had to build a stage. I love the way it all played out. The people were amazing, everybody believed for one second what I tried to do. It was scary, but it all worked out fine.
And the result...
The first half of this year was amazing. I want to thank everybody who helped me put together these images. Thank you very much! Without you I can't do anything.
